Set up a realistic test environment for the ECUs of a proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell system.
Model Features
ASM Fuel Cell includes a ready-to-use demo for a fuel cell electric vehicle, where the PEM fuel cell system is a main component. It simulates electrochemical reactions within the stack, the air and hydrogen supply and the cooling system. The model of the stack considers various phenomena, including activation, ohmic and concentration losses, transport and reaction mechanisms of various gases and water management. The model of the electric vehicle supports various drivetrain configurations like rear-, front-, or all-wheel drives or optionally without a powertrain, i.e., for testbench or aerospace applications.
You can use a network of soft ECUs to control the vehicle and successively replace them with controller under tests. The fuel cell simulation model can be adapted and parameterized to any customer applications. ASM Fuel Cell is fully integrated into the ASM tool suite. This makes the model scalable for any application area – from component to complete system tests and from passenger cars, trucks, and buses to aerospace application.
Application Area
Hydrogen fuel cells are not limited to automotive use. They play an increasingly important role in stationary energy storage and aerospace systems as part of the transition to renewable energy. You can rely on our full support when developing and testing hydrogen fuel cells for your applications.
