End-of-life announcement DCI-GSI1

The end of life of the DCI-GSI1 is planned for December 31, 2020. As of this date, no services of any kind will be available for this product. We advise against using the DCI-GSI1 in new projects. You can still buy the product until December 2017. New releases of dSPACE software are guaranteed to continue supporting the DCI-GSI1 until at least the end of 2019.

Successor

For new projects we recommend that you use the successor, dSPACE DCI-GSI2.

The DCI-GSI2 is supported by dSPACE Releases since 7.1. 

The DCI-GSI2 ECU interface is the successor of the DCI-GSI1. It can be used for applications in external bypassing, measurement and calibration, and ECU flash programming. With a 1-Gbit/s Ethernet connection to the RCP system, the DCI-GSI2 offers shorter turnaround times for bypass applications, and thus allows function developers to implement even faster control loops. The 1-Gbit/s Ethernet connection also provides the highest data throughput.

The DCI-GSI2 provides separate communication channels for bypassing, and measurement and calibration in parallel, and is optimized specifically for performing bypassing with lowest latencies in parallel with measurements with highest data throughput. Its integrated XCP service allows using measurement and calibration tools that support the ASAM XCP standard.

With various connector adapters, the DCI-GSI2 targets a variety of debug and trace interfaces including JTAG/NEXUS, DAP/DAP2, and JTAG/OCDS. In mid-2016, the DCI-GSI2 will also support the debug interfaces NBD/AUD and JTAG/H-UDI. Thus, the DCI-GSI2 supports a multitude of automotive electronic control units (ECUs).
