municHMotorsport

The team was founded in 2005 as FHM Racing Team and is the Formula Student racing team of the University of Applied Sciences Munich (HM). It is now known as municHMotorsport e.V. Currently, around 120 students from different departments, among them automotive engineering, Mechanical, Automotive and Aeronautical Engineering, Engineering and Management, Computer Sciences and Mathematics, Design and Business Administration put the theory they learn during their lectures into practice.

In the new category Formula Student Driverless, municHMotorsport wants to not just participate in the first season but place in the top three. For this purpose, the vehicle from the 2015 season was turned into the race vehicle PWd1.17. A MicroAutoBox II from dSPACE is the main ECU for this vehicle.

The team is motivated by its successes from previous years, such as first place in the Cost Report category at the Formula Student Austria in 2016. This motivation helps them stick to the tight deadline and to successfully compete with their vehicles in the categories Combustion, Electric, and Driverless in the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, and Spain during coming seasons.
