ETSEIB Motorsport Barcelona
The Formula Student (FS) team ETSEIB Motorsport Barcelona was founded in 2007. The 39 members are students in their final university years and they are working towards a degree in Automotive Engineering or Management Engineering at the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyerìa Industrial de Barcelona (ETSEIB).
CAT10e is the 10th vehicle designed by ETSEIB Motorsport. Based on the concept of its predecessor, the CAT10e was significantly improved. These improvements include a reworked aerodynamic drag package, a new carbon fiber monocoque as well as a new steering system. The optimized configuration of the motor and inverter lead to greater efficiency of the complete drive system. The reworked electronics system is built on the ARM structure, which has a dSPACE board at its core.
In 2017 ETSEIB Motorsport Barcelona was 15th out of 110 teams in the Formula Student Electric ranking. Next the team from Barcelona plans to prove itself at the events of FS Germany (Hockenheimring), FS Austria (Red Bull Ring), and FS Spain (Circuit Barcelona-Catalunya) and compete against the best international teams.
