Schanzer Racing Electric e.V.

Schanzer Racing Electric e. V. (SRe) was founded in 2010 by students of Ingolstadt University and has regularly taken part in competitions of Formula Student (FS) since then. The approximately 90 members primarily come from the technical and business economics departments.

During its first racing season in 2012, the team placed eighth with its first racing vehicle in Hockenheim.

Since then, the team has continuously progressed, improved, and never lost the courage to set itself more goals. Therefore, Schanzer Racing is racing with two vehicles in 2017: The electric vehicle SRe17 and the autonomous racing vehicle SRd17 for the Driverless competition, which takes place for the first time. The aim for the upcoming seasons is to place high in the different categories and to achieve a good overall result at Hockenheim, Germany and in Spielberg, Austria.

dSPACE products serve as the main ECUs and support the design of the electronic stability control. Additionally, Schanzer Racing uses RTMaps for live telemetry, as a platform for prototyping, and for internal data analysis.
