Wayne State EcoCAR Team

Wayne State University is heavily using dSPACE ASM Gasoline Engine and Electric Components, along with ControlDesk Experiments for HIL bench testing of supervisory hybrid control processor code.

The team is using a dSPACE MicroAutoBox II as its supervisory hybrid control processor.

Wayne State has designed a parallel-through-the-road (PTTR) hybrid architecture and implemented it with dSPACE ASM plant models.

“dSPACE ASM models have enabled Wayne State to rapidly create a higher-fidelity vehicle model, when compared to our own in-house vehicle model built from scratch,” Said Kevin Snyder, Wayne State EcoCAR 2 Team Chief Engineer.
