End-of-Life Information

The end of life of MicroAutoBox II is planned for December 31, 2027. As of this date, no services of any kind will be available for this product. We advise against using MicroAutoBox II in new projects. You can still buy the product until December 31, 2024. New releases of dSPACE software are guaranteed to continue supporting MicroAutoBox II until at least the end of 2026.

For new projects, we recommend to use the MicroAutoBox III.

Being the latest generation of dSPACE's popular in-vehicle rapid prototyping systems, the MicroAutoBox III provides up to 16x the processing power of its predecessor, the same comprehensive set of analog and digital I/O along with the latest automotive bus interfaces, while keeping the same small footprint. Furthermore, the famous robustness of the MicroAutoBox family has not only been maintained, but it has been extended through new functional safety features that are more sophisticated than ever before.

Migration Information

For hassle-free migration, variants with DS1511 and DS1513 I/O boards provide the same pinout on their ZIF-connectors as their predecessors and hence allow wire harnesses to be re-used. The same holds true for the I/O modules of the DS1514 FPGA boards. For projects that require a lot of bus interfaces, the new dedicated bus & network board DS1521 provides 8 CAN FD, 2 FlexRay and 5 automotive Ethernet interfaces. Of course, all of the aforementioned boards can be combined to a single MicroAutoBox III stack.
