DS2656 TWINsync Solution 17.1p1 Information

Position values of rotary encoders in the DS2656 TWINsync Solution 17.1 may be miscalculated

The following problem has also been published as Known Problem Report KPR.2017.09.20.001

Position values of rotary encoders in the DS2656 TWINsync Solution 17.1 may be miscalculated under the following conditions

  • A project created with ConfigurationDesk 5.5 or 5.6 (Release 2016-A or 2016-B) containing rotary encoder blocks (namely Incremental Encoder, SSI or EnDat) from the DS2656 TWINsync library is used with ConfigurationDesk 5.7 (Release 2017-A).
  • The 'Counter-clockwise rotation' property has never been changed from its default value 'False'.

The 'Counter-clockwise rotation' property may then be changed to 'True'.
This may lead to unexpected test rig behavior.

The problem is fixed in Patch TWINsync Solution 17.1p1 that can be downloaded below.
