FAQ 357: AddressReplacer ERROR: Syntax or semantic error in TRT file

The following error message is displayed at the end of the build process:
“Could not generate the '<filename>.trc' file. The operation failed with exit code '1': AddressReplacer ERROR: syntax or semantic error in trt file.” (with ConfigurationDesk)
or
*** ERROR: AddressReplacer ERROR: syntax or semantic error in trt file. ADDRESS REPLACER FAILED (1). (with RTI)
What is the reason for this error message?
