Die Technische Universität München arbeitet an verschiedenen innovativen Software-Flugzeugsystemen. Um die am Rechner entwickelten Algorithmen in der Realität testen zu können, entschieden sich die Forscher für ein dSPACE Prototyping-System, das auf einer MicroAutoBox II basiert. Dieses System wird in einem Flugzeug (Diamond DA-42 MPP) vom österreichischen Flugzeughersteller Diamond Aircraft zum Einsatz kommen.
