OpenDRIVE 1.6 Plugins

The OpenDRIVE 1.6 custom plugins allow the user to import and export OpenDRIVE files in ModelDesk with the following additional and modified features compared to the standard plugins:

Import:

• Added general support for OpenDRIVE 1.6
• Added the option to import GPS coordinates in the UTM format (GPS method = 2)
• Road markings are imported as regular lane markings instead of free line shapes
• Lane widths, heights and lateral slope points are imported exactly as defined in the OpenDRIVE file
• Added support for continuous outline objects (e.g. guard rails)
• Added automatic mapping of commonly used objects
• The height profile of connected junction roads is automatically adjusted to avoid steps in the junction surface (if necessary)

Export:

• Added general support for OpenDRIVE 1.6
• Added the option to export GPS coordinates in the UTM format (GPS method = 2)
• Lane links for roads and junctions are now automatically generated if no user-defined lane links exist
• Completely revised the generation of junction roads to make them usable in the native OpenX simulation

The custom plugins can be used with dSPACE RCP&HIL Release 2021-A (64-bit) and later.
