​The OpenDRIVE 1.6 custom plugins allow the user to import and export OpenDRIVE files in ModelDesk with the following additional and modified features compared to the standard plugins:
 

Import:

• Added general support for OpenDRIVE 1.6
• Added the option to import GPS coordinates in the UTM format (GPS method = 2)
• Road markings are imported as regular lane markings instead of free line shapes
• Lane widths, heights and lateral slope points are imported exactly as defined in the OpenDRIVE file
• Added the ability to import combined traffic light signals to individual objects
• Added the ability to import continuous outline objects (e.g. guard rails), free line shapes and trajectories
• Added automatic mapping of commonly used objects
• The height profile of connected junction roads is automatically adjusted to avoid steps in the junction surface (if necessary)
• Improved the calculation of object and signal positions on junctions

Export:

• Added general support for OpenDRIVE 1.6
• Added the option to export GPS coordinates in the UTM format (GPS method = 2)
• Added the ability to export individual traffic light objects to a combined signal
• Added the ability to export continuous outline objects (e.g. guard rails), free line shapes and trajectories
• Lane links for roads and junctions are now automatically generated if no user-defined lane links exist
• Completely revised the generation of junction roads to make them usable in the native OpenX simulation 

The custom plugins can be used with dSPACE RCP&HIL Release 2021-A (64-bit) and later.
