I first encountered dSPACE while I was studying electrical engineering and information technology with a focus on e-mobility. I worked with the MicroLabBox there but was immediately impressed by the test benches after a visit from a current dSPACE colleague. He told me that dSPACE does a lot more and has a wide range of topics and tasks. That made me curious, and I applied directly to work at dSPACE.
I started as an application engineer and mainly worked on the software diagnostics gateway solution, which transfers data from one bus to another – an exciting topic. I am still the solution owner here. As a project engineer, I am now mainly responsible for e-drive projects involving steering systems. I am a project manager for test benches and am responsible for preparing quotations through to final delivery to the customer. I have a wide range of topics that always challenge and inspire me.
What I particularly like is the contact with our customers, whom I get to know better and better over time and with whom I build up a trusting relationship. I enjoy coming to work every day because I know that I am contributing to the success of dSPACE and our customers. I value the family atmosphere at the Project Center Stuttgart, where people know and support each other. We all get on well and no matter who you talk to, you'll always find a sympathetic ear. We have a common mindset for moving forward, and this runs through the entire company. We also go out together in the evening and enjoy ourselves.
What I particularly appreciate about dSPACE as an employer are the many opportunities to develop myself further and achieve my goals. After just three months, for example, I was managing my first own projects and my responsibility has grown steadily. If you want to, you can grow quickly and take on new challenges. For example, I have been given the opportunity to take part in the dSPACE Talents Program and am looking forward to an interesting and instructive path in which I will receive various coaching sessions and be able to work on exciting topics. As part of Talents@dSPACE, I will be working on a project abroad for a while – I am really looking forward to the experience I will gain there.
