The Technische Universität München in Munich, Germany, is working on a number of different innovative software aircraft systems. So that they could perform test flights with the algorithms they developed on a computer, the researchers decided to use a dSPACE prototyping system based on a MicroAutoBox. The system will be used on a Diamond DA-42 MPP airplane from Austrian aircraft manufacturers Diamond Aircraft.
