As a technology-driven company with locations in Europe, Asia, and North America, we see sustainability not as a short-term trend, but as a fundamental component of corporate responsibility. Our solutions in the areas of simulation, validation, engineering, and consulting have always helped to make technical systems more efficient, resource-saving, and reliable. We are aware that innovation alone is not enough: The environment, our workforce, and society must be treated with the same care as the development of our products. We do not see sustainability as a state that is achieved once, but as an ongoing process in dialog with our employees, partners, and customers worldwide.

Environment
dSPACE offers a comprehensive portfolio of solutions whose individual components help make the mobility of the future safer, more efficient, and lower in emissions. dSPACE solutions are used in the development of conventional, as well as energy-efficient electric drives. Our solutions for simulation and validation allow for testing technologies in the laboratory and further developing them in a targeted manner. This way, we accelerate the development of environmentally friendly technologies and help reduce the number of real test drives.
dSPACE doesn’t only support its customers in developing innovative electromobility solutions. Our corporate fleet consists increasingly of electrically powered vehicles. We also invested in the required infrastructure at our Paderborn location. 41 charging stations are available for our employees to use. At other locations, such as the project centers in Germany, employees also have access to charging facilities for electric vehicles.
In November 2024, the new dSPACE India office was officially opened in the Embassy Manyata Business Park. The move to the new office building not only gives us access to a first-class infrastructure, but also to a well-connected business community. The operator of the business park attaches great importance to sustainability. For example, the new building is partly supplied with electricity from renewable energies (photovoltaics), has a charging infrastructure for vehicles, good public transport connections, and is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)-certified.
Social
As a family-owned business, it is our goal to attract, retain, and develop motivated and committed employees for our company. To this end, we create an attractive working environment – based on our corporate values – that is characterized by fairness, appreciation, and respect.
We support a large number of associations, schools, and projects around our headquarters in Paderborn as part of our ProMINT initiative, which was launched in 2007:
- Girls‘ Day: We take part in the nationwide Girls‘ Future Day. This gives girls an opportunity to get a taste of professional fields that they may have not yet considered. We also present ourselves to girls as a future employer - as part of an apprenticeship, dual study program, scholarship, or career entry in the STEM field.
- Pelestorms: The students of the Pelizaeus-Gymnasium robotics club in Paderborn take part in various renowned regional and international competitions under the name Pelestorms. dSPACE supports the group as the main sponsor.
- School cooperations: ProMINT gives students an early insight into the technologies of tomorrow and introduces them to STEM subjects. We plan joint events with our partner schools and offer career orientation days, company tours, and school internships. dSPACE engineers also regularly visit other schools in Paderborn and show how the theory from school is applied in practice.

dSPACE sees responsible business conduct and a valueoriented corporate culture as central components of sustainable corporate success. This is based on the visions and values anchored in the corporate mission statement. Our vision, „The technology leader in simulation and validation“, and the mission, „We ensure our customers‘ success“, make our claim to combine technological excellence with social responsibility transparent.
The dSPACE values – continuity, innovation, focus on results, reliability, and fairness – form the foundation of our corporate culture. They serve as guidelines for our behavior and actions. They influence our daily work and are an expression of the way we treat our employees and our management, as well as our attitude towards our customers and business partners.
As part of the Great Place to Work® (GPTW) culture audit, the dSPACE culture was comprehensively analyzed
and evaluated. Great Place to Work® is an international research and consulting institute that supports companies in around 60 countries in analyzing, developing, and making their culture visible. In 2024, dSPACE was recognized as a “Great Place to Work” and ranked among the top 10. In the category of companies in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) with more than 1,000 employees, dSPACE finished in 4th place. The award is based on an anonymous and representative survey among employees. At dSPACE, 86% of respondents stated that dSPACE is a very good employer. In the next step, workshops will be held in which there will be an opportunity to deal with the results.
