HypervisorShmem Software Package for the SCALEXIO Hypervisor Extension

The HypervisorShmem software package is a supplement to the SCALEXIO Hypervisor Extension. It provides easy access to the following methods of communication between operating systems:

• Communication via shared memory
• Communication via interrupts

Additionally, the HypervisorShmem software package automatically manages synchronized data transfer.

The HypervisorShmem software package includes the following components:

• Five hypervisor function block types for ConfigurationDesk. Once you import these function block types into your ConfigurationDesk project, you can use them like any other function block type.
• A utility library for the virtual machine. This library is used internally by the Hypervisor Data Receive and Hypervisor Data Transmit function blocks. For a synchronized data transfer, you also have to integrate the utility library into your Linux application.
• Demo applications serving as examples for data transfer via shared memory.
