Applications Engineer - Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) Systems

In this role, you will work in the area of HIL Simulation for the testing of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) in Automotive, Off-Highway, Aerospace, and other industrial applications. You will be part of a team-oriented environment, involved in developing and applying dSPACE HIL simulation technology for the most exciting and cutting-edge control domains.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, configuration, and application of dSPACE HIL simulators for customer’s ECU testing needs
  • Development of test automation projects
  • Modeling of physical systems for HIL simulation
  • Specialized support of HIL systems and models, including at customer locations

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor´s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science/Software Engineering, or related experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is desired:
    • Development, testing, or familiarity of embedded control systems (mechatronics, automotive control systems)
    • HIL simulation systems
    • In-vehicle communication networks such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay
    • Model-based development with MATLAB® and Simulink®
    • Programming in C, C++, Python, or other comparable languages
  • Good communication skills
  • A desire to learn and be challenged
