Engineering Intern

dSPACE is looking for creative and motivated engineering students, to work in our Wixom Michigan location, as Engineering Interns.  You will work on exciting and technologically cutting-edge projects, in the areas of software engineering, perception prototyping, plant modeling, and Software/Hardware-In-the-Loop (SIL/HIL) simulation.

 

Typical internship projects

  • Creation of demonstration systems and applications based on dSPACE tools and technology, such as development of an ADAS algorithm for use as an example system-under-test (SuT) and for in-vehicle prototyping
  • Working with other engineers in customer-oriented projects, for example in the build, configuration, and application of SIL simulators for testing electronic control units in the cloud
  • Investigate topics of interest, and how dSPACE products can be applied.  Write a paper on the topic
  • Assist with the application of dSPACE plant models to customer projects, including customization of these models.  Example domain areas are sensor simulation, vehicle dynamics, virtual environment, and traffic simulation
  • Developing internal tools for use in the engineering group
  • Develop know-how in dSPACE tool usage, be an internal resource to assist with customer projects and support

 

 

Requirements

  • Mechanical, Electrical, Computer or Software engineering students in Bachelor’s or Master’s programs
  • Junior or Senior level for BS students desired
  • Matlab and Simulink in coursework or projects

Or

  • C++, Python (Tensorflow, Keras, etc.)
  • Controls or robotics focus a plus
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies a plus
  • A desire to learn and be challenged!
