The Test Automation SDK is a Python-based test automation framework for software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing. It enables engineers to efficiently create, execute, and analyze automated tests for ECUs and vehicle functions by using a clean, extensible Python API. The SDK integrates seamlessly with ASAM XIL mappings, allowing the same test cases to be reused across SIL and HIL environments without code changes. By leveraging open Python testing frameworks such as pytest and Robot Framework, the Test Automation SDK fits smoothly into existing development workflows and CI/CD pipelines, while providing a solid foundation for AI-assisted test automation.
