ConfigurationDesk 2026-A / Model Interface Package for Simulink 2026-A

Referenced Artifacts: The New Concept for File Handling; First Stable Release Version of Shared Data Interface (SDI) Now Available; Support of SCALEXIO Essential II Hardware

The files (called artifacts) for the components of a ConfigurationDesk application are now provided by specifying references to the files (called artifact references). This means that ConfigurationDesk no longer uses application-specific copies of files, for example, model implementation container files (SIC, FMU, BSC files). Now, the original artifacts are always referenced by ConfigurationDesk projects and applications. This makes your interactive workflows more efficient and also enables easier implementation of CI processes.
Referenced artifacts are monitored, and ConfigurationDesk displays helpful status information about changes to their content or to their accessibility. You can use the reload functionality to easily update outdated artifacts and make changes to their content available in ConfigurationDesk. Also, ConfigurationDesk automatically uses the latest version of referenced model implementation container files during the build process.
The shared data interface (SDI) is now provided as the first stable release version, i.e., it is no longer in a preview state. This means that as of now, the shared data interface is intended for productive use. Nevertheless, the feature is still subject to continuous improvements concerning its functionality and its user‑friendliness. Do you have any feedback we should consider for the further development of this feature? Contact dSPACE Support and let us know (www.dspace.com/go/supportrequest).
ConfigurationDesk now supports SCALEXIO Essential II, a compact enclosure of the SCALEXIO family with integrated processing hardware and SCALEXIO I/O boards.
