“Error Message: “Could not start online calibration for the following platform: platform”

Solution

Please complete following steps:

1. Prepare Configuration File

  • Copy sample_config_windows.xml from: C:\Program Files\Intempora\RTMaps 4\xil\x.x.x\xml
  • Paste into a writeable directory
  • Modify the XML:
    • Update RTMaps diagram path
    • Adjust other parameters as needed

2. Start RTMaps Runtime

  • Open Command Prompt in RTMaps bin directory: C:\Program Files\Intempora\RTMaps 4\bin or /opt/rtmaps/bin
  • Run: rtmaps_runtime.exe --xil-testbench

3. Register RTMaps Platform in ControlDesk

  • Open ControlDesk
  • Navigate to: Register Platforms > XIL API MAPort > XIL API MAPort [Intempora RTMaps_Testbench (XIL API version x.x.x ) ]

4. Create ControlDesk Project

  • Define project path and name
  • Create experiment. Add platform/device:
    • Select XIL API MAPort
    • If not configured, click Configure
    • Select: Intempora RTMaps_Testbench 1.1 (XIL API Version x.x.x)
    • Click Next,
    • Import modified xml file.(Eg : Import sample_config_windows.xml>Finish )
    • Finish

Note: If the above process throws errors, please install the latest patches for ControlDesk.

5. Go Online in ControlDesk

  • Once online, RTMaps variables will be accessible in ControlDesk

Note: Ensure compatibility between RTMaps Testbench and XIL API versions. Always verify diagram paths in the XML file.
