Full support of the Layered Standard for Network Communication (FMI‑LS‑BUS); Coupling simulations on VEOS and SCALEXIO via HSIL; Simulation of POSIX-based V-ECUs on a remote PC; VEOS co-simulation: FlexRay support

Support for the FMI Layered Standard for Network Communication (FMI-LS-BUS), which is based on the FMI 3.0 standard, has now been extended to include LIN, thus fully covering the FMI-LS-BUS. VEOS therefore allows you to integrate and simulate Functional Mock-up Units (FMUs) that communicate with other bus participants via CAN/CAN FD, Ethernet, LIN, or FlexRay. This forms the basis for the simulation of ECU software based entirely on the FMI standard.

The new hybrid simulation integration layer (HSIL) lets you couple a simulation running on VEOS with a simulation on a SCALEXIO system. This eases the transition from SIL to HIL testing, especially in scenarios where multiple ECUs need to be integrated into the test system, as you can gradually replace V-ECUs with real ECUs. Furthermore, you can start integrating HIL testing even before all the real ECUs are available.

You can now also couple a VEOS simulation with the QEMU-based simulation of POSIX-based V-ECUs running on a Linux or Windows remote host. VEOS supports x86 and ARM remote host architectures. For the first time, it is now possible to simulate POSIX-based V-ECUs also from VEOS on Windows.

The VEOS co-simulation interface now also supports FlexRay bus communication.
