Bus Manager 2026-A

New Feature to Access the Source and Destination Addresses of J1939‑Compliant IPDUs at Run Time; First Stable Release Version of Shared Data Interface (SDI) Now Available

The Bus Manager 2026-A (26.2) now provides the new J1939 PDU Addresses bus configuration feature. You can use the feature to access the source and destination addresses of J1939‑21‑compliant IPDUs at run time: For a TX IPDU, you can specify the source and destination addresses with which the IPDU is transmitted on the bus. For an RX IPDU, you can specify the source and destination addresses that are used to identify a matching IPDU for reception. When such a matching IPDU is received on the bus, it can be processed by the Bus Manager.
Moreover, the shared data interface (SDI) is now provided as the first stable release version, i.e., it is no longer in a preview state. This means that as of now, the shared data interface is intended for productive use. Nevertheless, the feature is still subject to continuous improvements concerning its functionality and its user‑friendliness.
