FAQ 182: Disabling IPv6 in a VEOS Docker Container

Introduction

You can run VEOS 2024-A in a Docker container using the Ubuntu 22.04 base layer and .NET 6. For Docker images with the Ubuntu 22.04 base layer, IPv6 is enabled by default, which can cause VEOS to crash on start. The delivered Dockerfile already contains a workaround for this. However, if you want to create your own Dockerfile, you have to disable IPv6.
