Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Simulation
Sensor Simulation offers the option to test real sensors in combination with ADAS/AD control units in a closed loop. The ASM tool suite is used to simulate the motion trajectories of all participating vehicles as well as the infrastructure objects, etc. The Environment Sensor Interface (ESI) Unit transfers the synthetically generated data to the real sensors. This method enables the validation of real sensors with flexible test scenarios in the laboratory.
