Webinar Recording: Taming the Test Crowd with Cluster Simulation

June 01, 2017

How do you handle the massive number of tests required to validate autonomous driving functions? This webinar discusses key questions of how to handle increasing test numbers using a simulation cluster, outlines its design process, and gives a demonstration of a VEOS-based example cluster.

Instructors: Sven Walther, Product Engineer Virtual Validation

Target Group: Software integrators, quality engineers, and IT infrastructure managers in the context of virtual validation and test setups.

The number of tests to validate ECU functionality increases. This is especially true for the development of ADAS and autonomous driving functions because standard requirements-based testing has to be complemented with other testing approaches to achieve a sufficient test coverage. Software-in-the-loop (SIL) simulation speeds up the simulation compared to hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests while providing better test results than model-in-the-loop (MIL) tests. The next step is the parallelization of SIL simulations using simulation clusters. In this webinar you will learn about:

  • the key questions to consider when extending a SIL environment to a cluster,
  • the overall architecture of a VEOS-based simulation cluster, and
  • the integration of a simulation cluster into your validation and continuous integration process.
