About the Team
Iceland's only Formula Student team now consists of 85 students from various disciplines – more members than ever before. Building a formula race car is a challenging task that gives students the opportunity to work on diverse projects that would otherwise be unavailable to them. Students leave the team well prepared for the job market and further studies.
Due to the significant logistical effort and the cost of shipping the car to Europe, the team participates in only one competition per year.

The biggest recent success has been rebuilding the team after the COVID pandemic to the point where designing and building a car from scratch within a year is possible again. |

Number of Study Programs Represented |
In total, about 10 degree programs are involved. This includes all engineering programs offered at the University of Iceland, as well as programs in the departments of physics, computer science, and economics. |
Disciplines |
If all goes well, we hope to participate in all the dynamic disciplines (acceleration, skid pad, autocross, and endurance) as well as the static disciplines, such as the business plan presentation and engineering design event. |
