Getting Started Quickly with dSPACE Release 2017-B (or Later)

As of dSPACE Release 2017-B software installation and licensing have changed significantly. In the tables below you can find descriptions of all typical use cases. Locate your use case and select the link to the specific instructions. There are separate tables for dongle based single-user licenses and floating network licenses. Below the tables you can find links to additional documents with important background information we recommend to read.

Use Cases for Starting with dSPACE Release as of 2017-B (Dongle-Based Single-User Licenses)

New customer or completely new dongle

Required steps on the license server:

  • Configure one PC in the network as the dSPACE License Server
  • Activate licenses on the server

Required steps on each license client:

  • Install dSPACE Release 2017-B or later on dSPACE License Clients
  • Decrypt encrypted software archives
