Wibu Systems AxProtector Compatibility with Windows Update KB5074105 / KB5077181

WIBU Systems has informed us that the Windows updates KB5074105 and KB5077181 modify multiple Windows components, rendering a mechanism used by AxProtector for Windows to obfuscate certain function calls incompatible. Under specific protection configurations, protected applications may fail during startup or operation. Is dSPACE software affected by the described problem with Windows 11 updates KB5074105 and KB5077181?

• dSPACE does not use the AxProtector configurations, which can lead to the problem described above.
• After internal review and in consultation with WIBU Systems, we can therefore ensure that dSPACE software from at least the last 5 years is NOT affected by the issue.
• As Windows 11 compatibility exists since dSPACE Release 2022-B, all Windows 11 compatible dSPACE software is not affected.
