End-of-Life Information

The end of life of the DS1103 is planned for  December 31, 2019. As of this date, no services of any kind will be available for this product. We advise against using the DS1103 in new projects. You can still buy the product until December 31, 2016. New releases of dSPACE software are guaranteed to continue supporting the DS1103 until at least the end of 2018.

Successor

For new projects, we recommend using the MicroLabBox II.

MicroLabBox II, which is the latest development of dSPACE's compact laboratory systems, provides much more processing power and a larger FPGA than its predecessor. It has the same comprehensive set of analog and digital I/O and comes with the latest bus & network interfaces, while keeping the same small footprint. Interfaces of Simulink models or FMUs are easily configured through a vast range of I/O functions in ConfigurationDesk. In addition,  comprehensive software support is available for dSPACE tools like ControlDesk, AutomationDesk, ASM, and the dSPACE solutions for e-drives development, so the MicroLabox II can be customized to perfectly match your requirements on controls development or on-the-desk HIL -testing use cases. To support universities in education as well as research and development, dSPACE also offers an Advanced Control Education Kit for the MicroLabBox II.

Migration Information

Generally the Simulink models for DS1103 can be reused. However, the DS1103 RTI blocks must be replaced with the corresponding blocks from the MicroLabBox RTI1202 library.
