Introduction

This patch can only be installed on an existing Release 5.0 installation. It fixes some problems with the firmware of RapidPro systems.

Problems Fixed by this Patch

With dSPACE Release 5.0 (November 2005) new PIC firmware versions for the PS-HSD 6/1 (DS1663) and the SC-AI 10/1 (DS1633) module were introduced.
Both firmwares have the version 1.1.

If DS1633 and DS1663 modules are programmed to these firmwares, the following problems will arise:

SC-AI 10/1 - DS1633

• ConfigurationDesk displays faulty values on the "Input Circuit" page of module's "Channel Properties" dialog of channels 9 and 10.
  In consequence ConfigurationDesk may generate error messages indicating too small or too large parameter values for both channels when the "Input Circuit" page of the module is activated.

PS-HSD 6/1 - DS1663

• The current measurement of channel 1 and 2 is inaccurate
• A proper configuration of the module's diagnostic behavior via ConfigurationDesk is not possible. The generation of diagnostic warnings is enabled arbitrarily.
• ConfigurationDesk displays faulty values on the "Output Circuit" page of module's "Channel Properties" dialog.
  ConfigurationDesk may generate error messages indicating too small or too large parameter values when the "Output Circuit" page of the module is activated.

These problems have been published in the Known Problem Reports list as

• KPR.2005.12.19.001
• KPR.2005.12.19.002

The corrected firmwares have the version 1.2.
