FMI 2.0 for Co-Simulation規格ベースのFunctional Mockup-Unit（FMU）をSimulink/TargetLinkモデルから直接エクスポートすることができます。これらのFMUは、TargetLinkにより生成された量産コードをカプセル化し、Functional Mockup Interface（FMI）規格を適切にサポートするすべての環境に統合したうえでシミュレーションできるようにします。これはリアルタイムおよび非リアルタイムのいずれのシミュレーションプラットフォームでも実行できます。これにより、ソフトウェア開発者は慣れ親しんだ開発環境で量産コードソフトウェアを作成し、それらを手作業なしでさまざまな環境にインポートして再利用することができます。
