車載システムの複雑性が加速度的に増加し続ける中で、車両診断の役割が極めて重要になっています。現在の車載電子制御ユニット（ECU）において、診断システムはメモリの約30～40%を占めています。Fiat Auto社は、dSPACEのHIL（Hardware-in-the-Loop）シミュレーション用リアルタイムモデルAutomotive Simulation Models（ASM）の一つであるVehicle Dynamics Simulation Packageを高く評価し、車両安定化プログラム（ESP）の診断能力をテストするために、このモデルをdSPACEのシミュレータと共にターンキーソリューションで使用することを決定しました。
