高騰する燃料価格と厳しさを増す排出ガス規制は、自動車メーカーに新しい課題を提示しています。多くの自動車メーカーにとって、ハイブリッド電気自動車（HEV）は両方の問題に対する解決策になります。内燃機関（エンジン）と電気モーターを組み合わせることで、燃料消費量と有害物質の排出が削減されると同時に、運転がもっと楽しくなります。こうした代替駆動機関への関心は、特にアジアやアメリカで増大しています。ハイブリッド駆動装置のECU（電子制御ユニット）をテストするには、電気駆動装置のシミュレートでのdSPACE の長年の経験を生かし、HIL（Hardware-In-the-Loop）シミュレーションで特別なdSPACE ボードを使用します。
