In this Innovation Coffee Break, a driver monitoring system that uses gaze estimation is demonstrated using only a webcam. The goal of the demo is to identify where a person is looking on the screen and highlight that area. The algorithm behind gaze estimation focuses on eye tracking, which is achieved by 3-D face landmarks derived from the open-source platform Google Mediapipe.
