三菱重工では、高速油圧アクチュエータを使った可変バ ルブ試験装置（Engine Valve Control System：EVC） による内燃機関のさらなる最適化の研究を進めていま す。EVC システムは、任意のリフトパターンでバルブを 駆動でき、高回転まで非常に柔軟なエンジン運転を可能 とします。試験用制御ユニットとして、DS1006 をベー スにしたdSPACE マルチプロセッサリアルタイムシス テムを使用しています。
