End-of-Life Information

The End-of-Life of the DS5366 Smart Charging Interface is planned for June 01, 2028. As of this date, no services of any kind will be available for this product. We advise against using the DS5366 Smart Charging Interface in new projects. New Releases (Versions) of the DS5366 Smart Charging Interface will be available for customers with a Software Maintenance Service Contract until June 01, 2027.

Migration Information

With the discontinuation of the DS5366 Smart Charging Interface Module, dSPACE introduces its successor: DS5366_ADVANCED PHY_INTERN.

The DS5366_ADVANCED contains an updated controller module providing enhanced crypto-features for TLS based communication.

Regarding the software, we will continue the support for basic charging and advanced charging with plug and charge on both Smart Charging Interface modules (old and new) for all standards based on the article: SMART_CHARGING_IF_SOL_SW, which includes simulation of EVSE and EV behavior as well as charging standards: DIN 70121, ISO15118-2, GB/T18487 and GB/T27930, CHAdeMO, ChaoJi 2.

For fully supporting the protocol ISO15118-20 the DS5366_ADVANCED will be mandatory. Here an additional software product is needed: SCS_ISO15118_20_SW. Although based on dSPACE Release 2024-A and Release 2024-B a basic support of the -20 protocol is provided for the DS5366, this won't be continued in further Releases.

To summarize:
You have a DS5366, you can use it with the features provided by SMART_CHARGING_IF_SOL_SW or  SMART_CHARGING_PNC_SOL_SW and you can get updates until dSPACE Release 2027-A.
From dSPACE Release 2025-A new features and enhancements for ISO 15118-20 are only provided with the DS5366_ADVANCED.

You want to test according to ISO15118-20: Upgrade to the DS5366_ADVANCED for full support provided with the next Releases.
