TRAFFIS

The intelligent fusion of sensor data will enable the advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) of the future to correctly perceive vehicles' environments. The systems will use this ability to intervene actively in driving behavior and help move vehicles energy-efficiently, safely, and comfortably. This is why the efficient development and testing of ADASs is a major factor in the success of OEMs and suppliers. The TRAFFIS project (standing for 'testing and training environment for advanced driver assistance systems') aims to develop early, simulation-based function verification for these systems.

The ultimate objective is to boost productivity in ADAS development with the aid of a new kind of testing and training environment based on a driving simulation system.

dSPACE is participating in this project by integrating the vehicle dynamics and environment models from its Automotive Simulation Models (ASM) into the driving simulator. The end result will be an integrated testing and simulation environment that covers all the phases of simulation-based developments from automated ECU testing to an interactive driving simulator.
