dSPACE Breaks Ground on Construction Project on Ahornallee
Paderborn, December 12, 2025. Today, members of the dSPACE founding family, executive directors, representatives of the city, and the construction companies involved symbolically kicked off the Ahornallee construction project with a traditional groundbreaking ceremony. The company is building a new site for production, engineering, and logistics on the 6.5-hectare plot in Almepark. Completion is planned for the middle of 2027.
At the new manufacturing location, dSPACE will be able to manufacture more efficiently. The new location in Almepark has direct transport links via the A33, the B1, and the Heinz-Nixdorf-Ring. In the future, the residential area around Rathenaustrasse, the current main and production site of dSPACE, will be relieved of truck traffic.
"Despite the current crisis in the automotive industry, we expect sustainable long-term growth and are preparing for the future with this project. In addition, the construction project is a clear commitment to our company headquarters in Paderborn," explained dSPACE CEO Dr. Carsten Hoff. The investment for this project amounts to a mid-range double-digit million euro sum. The general contractor for the project, implementing state-of-the-art construction and energy standards, is Bremer, also a Paderborn-based company.
Groundbreaking ceremony for the new dSPACE site: Sven Krüger (dSPACE), Michael Dufhues (Bremer), Chris Gössling (BKS Architekten), Dr. Carsten Hoff (CEO dSPACE), Stefan-Oliver Strate (Mayor of Paderborn), Julia Girolstein, Dr. Harald Hanselmann, Niklas Hanselmann, Angelika Hanselmann, and Dr. Herbert Hanselmann (dSPACE).
