RTICANMM to Bus Manager Migration Script

The RTICANMM to Bus Manager migration script helps you get started with the Bus Manager as easily as possible. It reduces your manual workload when you migrate your RTICANMM model and introduces you to basic Bus Manager functionalities you can start working with. However, working with the Bus Manager significantly differs from working with the RTI CAN MultiMessage Blockset. You therefore have to familiarize yourself with the concepts and functionalities of the Bus Manager. For example, you can do this by working through the Bus Manager tutorial or attending a training course.

The following features are migrated:
  • TX and RX messages migrated to TX and RX PDUs. Supported PDU types: BusISignalIPdu, BusNmPdu, BusNPdu, BusDcmIPdu, BusGeneralPurposeIPdu, BusSecuredIPdu, BusContainerIPdu, BusMultiplexedIPdu, BusExtendedMultiplexedIPdu

  • Access data of the bus communication via TRC file entries and/or exchange data with the behavior model migrated to Test Automation support and/or Model Access enabled.

  • Signal ports and displays migrated to ISignal Value feature including mapping to model and specifying default value as initial value.

  • Message kickout migrated to PDU Trigger feature.

  • Use of RX status migrated to PDU RX Status feature.

  • Enable and disable of the message transmission migrated to PDU Enable feature.

  • Specify cyclic transmission of the messages and cyclic time defaults migrated to PDU Cyclic Timing Control feature.

  • Access the raw data of TX and RX messages migrated to PDU Raw Data feature.

  • Adjustable message length migrated to PDU Length feature.

  • Transmit specified signal values for a defined number of triggerings migrated to ISignal Overwrite feature.

The detailed list of all migrated features and configurations are described in the included RTICANMM_to_BusManager_Migration_Script.pdf.
