FMU Export of V-ECUs
The main new feature of SystemDesk 5.6 is an FMU export of V-ECUs. It works for Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 V-ECUs if only CAN buses are used. This new feature gives especially suppliers the chance to create and simulate a V-ECU with the dSPACE SIL solution, and to hand over the same V-ECU to OEMs as an FMU for their SIL simulations. Because many OEMs currently require FMUs from their suppliers, dSPACE customers (suppliers) can easily fulfill the requirements of their customers (OEMs) at no additional cost.
The new feature puts dSPACE in the pole position in terms of support for Level 1 to Level 3 V-ECUs with a detailed bus simulation, while enabling the company to provide precisely the FMU that the supplier needs for exchange with their OEMs.
