RTI Bypass Blockset 3.16

Green Hills compiler support for on-target prototyping

The on-target prototyping provided by dSPACE makes it possible to evaluate new control strategies directly on the target platform, thus ensuring close-to-production control behavior with minimal revolution times.

To minimize deviations in the behavior between prototype and production controllers while increasing the reliability of the tests, Versions 3.16 and above of the RTI Bypass Blockset support the use of Green Hills compilers for ECUs based on ARM, Cortex-R, Infineon TriCore, Renesas V850/RH850, and NXP MPC5xxx architectures. Since Green Hills compilers are widely used in the automotive field, the same compilers can be used to implement a prototype controller on the target platform as the ones used to generate production code

If you are also using dSPACE TargetLink to generate the production code, then you can also use it to generate the prototype code. This makes it possible for developers to evaluate the implementation of prototype controllers reliably on the final hardware and to turn the models into production code with minimal effort once the testing has been completed successfully. It is still possible to use the tried-and-trusted HighTec compilers.
