Overview

In the development and testing of ECUs, engineers need a way to read and write ECU variables time-synchronously with the ECU’s application and to react to ECU internal states in real time. This is achieved through ECU interfacing.

With dSPACE’s XCP Service and ECU Interface Manager tool, you can easily configure and access your ECU and make modifications to allow new functionalities to be mapped into the existing ECU. But even if you don’t have these tools, there are other options to complete the task of ECU interfacing. Watch this Learning Bits podcast for an overview on multiple options for performing ECU interfacing.
