Rapid control prototyping (RCP) is an established method for speeding up controller design and testing new control strategies at an early stage of development. Current trends such as powertrain electrification are making additional demands on RCP systems. The large number of different electric motors and the need to integrate them into existing electric/electronic systems call for particularly high flexibility. A modular system approach in which a complete solution can be configured to fit specific requirements supports this objective.
