On the road to highly automated driving, driver assistance systems are playing an increasingly important role. This paper presents a seamless test environment for validating driver assistance systems by means of software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop simulation. An example of an autonomous braking function and the relevant Euro NCAP test protocols is used to observe the entire test process and result evaluation.
