Delta Racing Mannheim electric e.V.

The Delta Racing Mannheim electric e.V. team was founded in 2008 at the Hochschule Mannheim - University of Applied Sciences. It currently consists of 60 students from different departments. Team members primarily come from the areas of mechanical and electrical engineering, information technology, and commercial engineering.

The racing team from Mannheim has developed as many as nine racing vehicle prototypes. The team is eagerly working on its electric vehicles, introducing numerous new features, among them brake energy recovery, torque distribution (torque vectoring), and a new drive concept. dSPACE products, such as ControlDesk® used as a virtual cockpit and ModelDesk® used as the simulation environment, are employed when simulating the driveability and vehicle design, while MicroAutoBox II is used as the ECU in the final racing vehicle.

The team will participates in numerous international competitions of Formula Student (FS). The team was already successful in the past when they placed second overall at FS Czech and first in the Efficiency category at FS Italy 2015.
