Testing the Radar Chip

The Task

Development and approval of integrated circuits for radar control units using synthetically generated radar echoes.

The Challenge

To increase the efficiency of developing radar transceivers for radar systems, the transceivers are tested early in the laboratory with synthetically generated, real signals.

The Solution

DARTS can be connected directly to a circuit board via signal lines in the form of waveguides. This means that presamples of integrated circuits can be tested at an early stage of development with realistic signals. This method also enables quality tests to be carried out while manufacturing radar transceivers.
