The generic serial interface DCI-GSI2 can be used for function bypassing, measurement, ECU calibration, and flash programming. The broad range of available connector adapters lets you connect the DCI-GSI2 to individual electronic control units. 

Application Areas

With the continuing technological advances of ECUs, broadband access to ECUs is becoming a compelling feature. It can be used for tasks such as reading internal ECU variables or integrating bypass functions. Debug interfaces provide this kind of access appropriately without significant influence on the ECU microcontroller.  

For this, dSPACE provides the generic serial interface DCI-GSI2, which can be used for function bypassing, measurement, ECU calibration, and flash programming. The broad range of available connector adapters lets you connect the DCI-GSI2 to individual electronic control units.

Key Benefits

The DCI-GSI2 provides an open and standardized XCP on Ethernet interface to connect third-party tools. In addition, the DCI-GSI2 features bypassing without requiring any ECU source or HEX code changes. It is highly synchronized with the ECU application and enables very high measurement data throughputs and extremely fast measurement rasters via GBit Ethernet.

    • 2 pin LEMO power connector on the DCI-GSI2 enclosure for connection to an external power supply
    • Internal power connector in the DCI-GSI2 for connection to the vehicle power supply in the ECU via the internal power supply cable
