The shared data interface (SDI) was enhanced as follows: The API provided by the Model Interface Package for Simulink 25.4 now lets you import any signal node of the SDI data structure into Simulink®, filter for signals with a specific signal direction, and display a list of the dimensions of specific signals. In addition, the performance when importing SDIX files and creating Simulink objects has been significantly improved. The calculation of SDI conflicts in ConfigurationDesk now takes into account read/write accesses at all levels of the SDI data structure. This results in a higher accuracy of the displayed SDI conflicts.
The current version of the shared data interface is a preview version. This means that the feature is in an early but completely tested development stage. We provide this preview version so you can explore this new approach for exchanging data with Simulink models and generating bus implementation containers as early as possible. Moreover, we would like to collect feedback that we can consider in the further feature development. Due to the further feature development, there might be incompatible changes between this preview version and the first stable release version of the feature.
ConfigurationDesk improves the I/O functionality for the MicroLabBox II: The SENT Out and Waveform Voltage Out function block types now support the MicroLabBox II. In addition, the IOCNET interface is now supported to increase the UART and CAN communication capacity of the MicroLabBox II with SCALEXIO hardware.
