The Bus Manager 2024-B (24.3) now supports the Connection Mode Data Transfer (CMDT) transport protocol for simulating and inspecting J1939-22 communication. You can assign J1939-22-compliant IPDUs with a payload length of up to 15,300 bytes plus 52 bytes of optional assurance data to the Simulated ECUs and Inspection parts of a bus configuration and configure them for simulation and inspection purposes, respectively.
Moreover, when you replace a communication matrix in a bus configuration, the Bus Manager now considers additional replacing conditions to identify ECUs that are involved in CAN communication and that cannot be identified by their name. Already as of Bus Manager 2024-A (24.2), the Bus Manager considers additional replacing conditions for the following elements: frames, PDUs, ISignal groups, and ISignals. The additional replacing conditions apply only if such an element cannot be identified by its name. For example, if an ECU that is involved in CAN communication cannot be identified by its name, the Bus Manager now considers the network management node ID of the involved CAN communication controllers. However, you can also disable the use of the additional replacing conditions in the Buses category on the Options page.
